The FastPace™ 1.1 Update application will update the FastPace 1.0 Installer to version 1.1. This updater is only for licensed users of FastPace™ Instant Contact™ 1.0.
What's New in version 1.1
• Integration with InControl, the calendar and to-do application from Attain. You can do finds on FastPace databases from within InControl, and optionally insert FastPace data into InControl fields. InControl users should contact Attain for an upgrade to InControl.
• Drag-and-Drop support for drag-aware applications. You can now drag contacts from the List View into documents in applications such as SimpleText, the System 7.5 Scrapbook, Microsoft Word 6.0, and others.
• Result of searches can be shown in a detail view. A new option on the Find dialog is available that allows you to display a detail view automatically after doing a Find.
• The Preferences and Database Setup dialogs have been reorganized. The new design is easier to use, but no new functionality has been added. The screens shown in the user manual are based on the version 1.0 design.
• Ability to save the default size of the detail and list views. FastPace will remember the size of the detail and list view windows if you resize them with the option key.
To use the updater
1. Copy the FastPace 1.0 Install from your FastPace disk to your hard drive.
2. Launch the FastPace™ 1.1 Update application.
3. Select the FastPace 1.0 Install file, and click Update.
After updating the installer, you should run the installer to install FastPace™ Instant Contact™ version 1.1. You can perform a custom installation or a standard easy installation. Refer to the FastPace manual for instructions.
